Swiss Association of Funeral Services SVB
In its mission statement, the SVB describes itself as the leading association in the Swiss funeral industry. By signing the Code of Ethics, members commit to adhering to the SVB’s guidelines. In the event of a death, bereaved families can be assured that they will receive sensitive and professional service in every respect from SVB-affiliated funeral homes. Should a complaint nevertheless arise, or if you have questions regarding a funeral, you may contact the independent ombudsman’s office.
The SVB is responsible for the regular continuing education of its members and for the professional examination: “Funeral Director with a Federal Certificate.” Employees of funeral homes also receive training and continuing education through the SVB’s continuing education courses.
Membership in the SVB is voluntary.
