Foreign transfer              <\/h1>\n                             <p>\n               <p>Foreign nationals are often repatriated from Switzerland to their home country after their death. A coffin is repatriated in a professional hearse or by air transport. The costs of the journey to the airport in Switzerland and the costs of the transfer from the airport in the home country to the place of burial are included in the air transportation costs. A foreign coffin must comply with international regulations and the requirements of the country of arrival. If necessary, the respective embassy or consulate will issue the required authorization and certify the documents issued by the cantonal authorities, such as Medical death certificate, international death certificate, corpse passport, soldering protocol.<\/p>\n<p>Cremation in Switzerland and urn transfer to the home country is also possible. Transportation is by post or the urn can be taken privately. Your funeral home or the respective embassy or consulate will provide information on whether a private transfer is permitted. This person will help you with the organization of the foreign transfer or, if you wish, organize the whole transfer.
